It's good to know that you have a different view comparing with others. I agree we still enjoy our liberties and freedoms, but this right is the basic requirement for democratic country. Then, also America can not comparable the quality or circumstance of other countries. I think we should not satisfy this factor. Therefore, I couldn't agree with your idea.
In our world, every liberty, right and living status in the countries are totally different each other. If we start to agree with comparing other countries, we can also say like this, "North Korea government is not so bad. The reason is, we don't have any war like Israel or Iraq and life quality is better than many African countries." Government should be evaluated by former government not other countries.
In my opinion, this government is bad enough, because many people are suffering from bad credit. Then, some of them may cause by "Sub prime Mortgage Crisis." Definitely it's not all current government's fault. However, Bush's administration has the most part of responsibility, because this government is standing almost 8 years. These 8 years are large enough to solve citizen’s economic and financial problems. Poor people are hard to receive any kind of medical services and the gap between rich and poor is getting bigger. In this situation, if we just say that this government is good enough, then it’s same as we are not regarding poor people as a citizen who has equal right and liberty.

No more war funding bill
Yesterday, US Senate approved war funds bill. According to “US Senate approves war funds bill” in BBC, government will add 162 billion dollars to Iraq and Afghanistan. Then, government will spend 330 billon dollars since 2003. This amount of money is almost same amount what US army spent so far in Iraq.
In my opinion, this is not a good time for making a decision to start huge amount fund to outside of nation. Now, it is almost time to start election for American president. After president change, every single policy doctrine will be changed. If the major political party is changed, then, the government will need more money to keep their political vision.
Many people in US are suffering huge stagnation, and while this suffering people are forced to out of the street. The oil price is increasing, after sub prime mortgage, people are start to bankrupt. There are many people having a trouble with medical care. To solve these kinds of problems the next government needs to save their fund. However, such a situation US senate approves this war funding bill, it would cause not only to give a problem to next government, but also US army and their families who stay in Iraq will be victim. The reason is, if the government stop funding, US army in Iraq lose their right correspond with this money.
The time will be too late after passing and it is hard to recover while this bill is progressed. For these reason, this bill must be left a serious risk to the next administration. These all purposes are related with stationing US troops in Iraq and increase the numbers. Yet, it may know what will be the next government decision for station in Iraq. US senate should consider this point and stop to fund raise to the Iraq or decrease the amount.

I don’t agree your opinion. Our society should not allow Same-sex marriage. If we start to allow this marriage it would be the beginning of ruining the flow of mankind. There are several different problems related in marriage such as allowing Mormonism, one husband having multiple wives, and under teenager marriage. If the United States starts to allow one tabooed marriage then other groups also will protest to the government until their marriages are turned into legal. After this happened, our world would be no longer exists any rules to control to lead the people into the law of nature. Then, this may cause more unknown diseases and genetic mutations. For that reason, not to people put into the chaos, the government should stick their policy.

The irony in the most modernized democracy world will bring more danger to nation.
According to the news on June 18 in 2008 from the Washington post, the CIA had an advice by CIA lawyer that the torturing detainee ‘is basically subject to perception.’ This news means that if people, especially foreigners in doubt, CIA officially allows to torture them. This must be huge mistake of the government official. As the government officially shows up this unfairness treatment to detainees, the United States may receive more news from other countries which have the U.S detainees or prisoners will retaliate with this torture.
On September 11 in 2001, the USA has received unforgettable nightmare by Arabic terrorists. Then, this terrorists are still trying to give more hurt to the states. However, the U.S government is suffering to recognize who is the terrorist. The reason is, the nation is allowed to citizen to have their own sociodemographic factors, and this causes impossible to control or interpret them. In this situation, torturing detainees may be the fastest way to prevent the second and third terrorism. Yet, in the long run, the government should admit their treatment is wrong. Then, they should change their way and attitude to detainees not to put more Americans in danger from out of the states. If the government is keep torturing them, it would give a moral justification to terrorist countries or terrorists torturing Americans or capturing them as a hostage.
The admitting their error may miss the greatest opportunity to catch a terrorism act but the government should remember the point, the reason they are working for the country is to protect their people. Through this news, many hostile countries will be trying to give a pain to Americans such as Myanmar, Iran and so on. For that reason, before they infringe human rights, CIA should realize more dangerous things can be happened and step back their way to protect the people in the United States.

To stop the poisoning food disaster.
Currently, the united states are in danger of infection of salmonella, because some certain raw tomatoes turned out to have infected scores of people. An editor member in “The New York Times” shows his opinion about the current reaction of government to protect citizen.
According to his writing, we can realize that our system of categorizing and treating food is poor. People open from the threatening of the food healthcare, but the U. S government still does not have any perfect solution to protect this danger from the tomatoes. The idea, that government needs an agency with a better system to trace food with more authority and more inspectors, is the best way to solve this problem. Whenever, we go into the driving thru to order a hamburger in street all fast-food restaurants post the message that “we are unable to serve with tomatoes.” It seems that there are lots of things to do to make tomatoes coming back to us.
The science for this inspection doesn’t tell us when the citizen can eat tomatoes free from harm. From this case, the government should prepare not to the second salmonella tomatoes cases happen from other foods. To do this is the three more recommended ways as follows excepting inspectors and trace system as I already reffered.
1. To make the citizen keep take tomatoes the government need to consider importing safe tomatoes from other countries.
2. To increase back the consumption of safe tomatoes, the government needs to advertise, tomatoes selling in the markets are perfectly safe.
3. The government should care about the people who already suffered damages by compensation and free medical service.

Now, the Free Flow of Information Act is passed for better information quality to public!!
According to the Miklós Haraszti’s opinion “A Shield Law for The World (Washington post, Jun. 04. 2008)” this editorial talks about a shield law to protect the freedom right for media from the government. It introduces nations about which one is following a shield law or which countries are not following. Then, he supports the Free Flow of Information Act, which is recently passed in the United States as a stronger shield law.
In my opinion, the world needs to the media should keep their own neutrality. To keep the neutrality a shield law is the minimum requirement to keep the press freedom. The Free Flow of Information Act will be more powerful solution to care the common people. Even though we are living in the most democracy country in the world, the absolute authorities are trying to screen information leaking. The stock farming association is a good example representing the power which is trying to screen to the public. Before how they kill cows in their slaughterhouse is issuing people did not know how cows were slaughtered and which cows we were eating. The media were not show the information, how cows are harshly killed and this cows can have higher possibility having a disease. While one of media is focusing on the slaughterhouse to represent customer right, people finally knew that the mad cow disease is threatening the citizen life. Until people found this serious problem, stock farming companies were trying to hide this problem. They lobbied to the government for a long time not to leak their matters to the public. In democracy, the capitalistic economy always comes with money and power which means that, the common people are easy to control by upper classes. We are always as blind as bat from the sensitive problem which can be harm us. Free Flow of Information Act will be the remedy to the people to get over from the unfairness discrimination of important information.

Start to tightenning visa restriction.
After the terror raid on Sep. 11. 2001, the U. S started to restricting and strengthening the policy to foreigners. However, 27 countries, which the U.S can trust enough or have a good relationship with the states, still are on visa waived program. Yet, currently things are going to change. the United States starts to make a more strict rule to control the foreigners who are visiting USA. They still do not need a visa, but they need to register at least three days before starting their travel after 12th. Jan. 2009. This will be similar form as people fill in I-94
on passport. This will reduce the possibility that potential terrorists to enter the U. S.
This news would be helpful information, people who have a plan to go back their country and have to come back to stay in the United States.
